Labor of Love

In middle school, it is so hard to sit all day on a hard seat, bent over the desk, pretending to be doing homework. There's only a few acceptable reasons to get out of that chair. You can stand to answer a question if you raise your hand to be called upon. And that's a tough one, when you don't know the answer. But sometimes its worth making a fool of yourself, just to stretch your legs. You can be excused to go to the bathroom. If all else fails, you can request to go over to the pencil sharpener on the wall , and sharpen your pencil....again. I went through a lot of pencils just to look at Andrea on my way back to my desk.

Things that are Pencil Thin

1. A pencil.

2. A slice of Salami.

3. An anorexic body.

4. A moustache.

5. Lips trying not to say something.

6. A line in the sand.

7. A cigarette.

8. A candy cane.

9. A tongue.

10. The line between normalcy and madness.

Nicknames

I met someone who had big bulging eyes. And if he was mad about something, they really protruded. Everyone knew him as Popeye.
There was this tall, skinny guy known as Rail...as in, "Skinny as a.........."
I asked a guy called "Pencil" why he was called that. He wasn't "skinny as a.....". He handed me a pencil and a scrap of paper. "Write this down." he said. He looked at me intently, and said, "If you keep asking questions, I'm going to kill you." I wrote it down, and later, pinned it to my refrigerator door with a magnet.

Erasers

I am sorry but I erased this post.

6th grade was all about Abbie..........

As a young student I sharpened my pencils with great regularity. For one thing, it was an allowable excuse for getting up from your desk. For another, I could smirk at my buddies who didn't seem to have the courage to sharpen their pencils as much as I.. For another thing, I could look at little pig-tailed Abbie, She would glance up and then get very studious with her book. Accidentally dropping my pencil on the floor was another way to pass a dreary school day. I could bend down to get it, and maybe catch a glimpse of Abbie's panties. But she was a proper girl and kept her knees together.

Three Things to do with a Pencil.

You can write or draw with it.
You can chew on it when feeling wordless.
I will spare you the third choice,
